Sunday Evening Services are announced and listed below in our calendar as they develop.

The History of Our Church

On July 14, 1984, a little church with a big vision was born. That first Sunday, forty-four people gathered at Mountainview United Church Chapel, in St. Catharines, ON. This was the beginning of Glenridge Bible Church. A few months later, on January 27, 1985, the church inducted Rev. David Jantzi as Senior Pastor.  He was Glenridge Bible Church’s only pastor for thirty-five years.

Glenridge Bible Church held Sunday services and weekly meetings at Lady Spencer Churchill School on Glenridge Avenue, in St. Catharines, ON  for six years. In 1991, the church relocated to 1 Lakeshore Road, in St. Catharines, ON.  This was to be home for the next twenty-one years.

From its inception in 1984, the ministry of Glenridge Bible Church has included supporting both local and world-wide missions, Sunday School for all ages, prayer meeting, and AWANA. These programs have been largely stewarded by volunteers. We have been greatly blessed by a great God.

In 2012, the church moved again to its current location at 310 Scott Street, in St. Catharines, ON. This building, a gift from God, was able to also accommodate Calvary Christian School. Glenridge Bible Church and Calvary Christian School entered into a long term agreement to support each other and maintain the building and property we both call home.

After announcing his pending retirement at the end of October, 2019, Glenridge Bible Church began the process of looking for God’s direction in selecting a suitable Pastor to continue after Pastor David Jantzi.  After a year-long search, and after much prayer, our congregation welcomed Bobby J Halek to be our new Senior Pastor on October 1, 2019.

We have been wonderfully blessed by the Lord and are forever thankful for His faithfulness in these years.

Why do we exist?

A Bible Based Community, united by God’s love and grace, that worships Him, serves others, and proclaims the message of Christ.

What do we want to see when we look at ourselves?

We will actively welcome everyone.
We will dynamically worship, teach, disciple, and care for all generations.
We will effectively prepare Christians for Life.
We will creatively share the Gospel of Christ in the community and throughout the world.

Who does God want us to become?

We subject all our decisions to Biblical principles rather than traditions, cultural trends or personal preferences. We keep the Bible central in all of our teachings. (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

Jesus Christ is the answer to the deepest questions of life and establishing a personal relationship with Him is the only means by which we prepare for eternity. (John 1:12, 3:16-18, 14:6)
